Awareness Training – Helping Companies Navigate The General Data Protection Regulation

This course is aimed at providing companies with both introductory and annual refresher training for the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Taking this course will provide the candidate with a brief overview of the following key aspects of the regulation.

  1. A short introduction to the General Data Protection Regulation, also known as the GDPR.
  2. It shows organizations the difference between the European Union’s GDPR and that of the United Kingdom so that organizations can see under which they fall.
  3. The course outlines the Principles require of organizations in the Data Processing field.
  4. It also outlines the lawful basis of processing data, so that organizations can be on the right side of the law when handling data.
  5. The course details the Individual Rights that must be followed when Data Processing occurs.
  6. The accountability and governance for organizations are outlined as well.
  7. Security for the organization and the organization’s clients is outlined in the course.
  8. The course outlines International Transfers regulations that an organization must uphold.
  9. Personal Data Breaches are explained in the training, as well as how to best respond to the breaches if or when they occur.
  10. Exemptions are outlined and explained to help companies understand which GDPR applies to them.
  11. Applications provided by CC is also explained briefly, as well as how they can help the organization.

This course has been set with documentation provided by the Information Commissioner’s and EU Working party 29.
